About the Creator

My name is Roshan Shah and I am currently working with an investing company in the Medical AI Industry. I struggle with Tourettes, and learning about ways to overcome this obstacle is what introduced me to the Medical AI field. I was so overwhelmed with my Tourettes, that I was constantly searching for ways to solve my problem. I spent hours and hours online and at one point I felt like I was at a loss because all I found was saying to take medication. While I did not find exactly what I was looking for, I stumbled across numerous startups that combine medical problems with AI solutions. Most of these startups were created by a person with an aim to provide solutions to medical issues they have personal experience with. This reflects my beliefs and passions very well, and now I aim to inspire others and contribute to the creation of startups focused on finding solutions for any medical problem, and hopefully one day, Tourette's syndrome.

My journey began when I was selected for an internship at an optometrist’s office, where I focused on patient research. Experiencing behind-the-scenes work, and its impact on scientific studies fueled my passion to contribute to healthcare advancements. To gain knowledge about these advancements, I engaged in an internship in Healthcare AI to study the market and to learn what is best for the growth in the industry. This refined my analytical skills and taught me how to decipher complex data and present it to investors in a compelling and organized manner. Additionally, my participation in a two-week program at Duke University allowed me to hone my abilities in data collection and to synthesize work from labs and lectures, turning diverse information into a cohesive project.

I strongly believe in authenticity in one’s work and making an impact in one's community, based on your beliefs and struggles. My goal is to provide research to startups in the Medical AI industry. I plan to empower Medical AI startups and provide them with the knowledge they need to thrive in the industry. By streamlining my focus towards my passion for medical AI startups, created by my personal experiences with Tourettes, I aim to provide knowledge to allow others to pursue their interests, while gaining a large audience.
